What does Google actually see of your website?

Usually less than you think. I scan your site and within 48 hours send you a report in plain language: what is wrong, what it costs you, and in which order to fix it.

€ 149

one-off, excl. VAT (€ 180.29 incl.) • report within 48 hours • the report is written in Dutch

I started with my own site. It scored zero.

That is not a sales pitch, it is simply what came out when I first ran my own tooling on buiningdesign.com. Zero out of a hundred. Missing canonicals, titles that were too long, a heading structure that was wrong on thirty pages: all invisible to a visitor and perfectly clear to Google.

I fixed it and measured again. I then did the same on the other sites I manage:

buiningdesign.com

100 ← was 0

havenmarks.com

100 ← was 49

bbqplanner.nl

98 ← was 77

ai-d3signer.com

99 ← was 94

My own sites, measured with the same tooling I use to scan yours. With the scan I show you exactly how the score is built up, so you can check it yourself.

And then the same tooling caught me at fifteen seconds

On 1 September I measured for the first time how fast my own site loads on a phone. There were 14.9 seconds between tapping the link and the page actually being there. Google considers anything over 4 seconds poor.

The cause turned out to be dull and entirely fixable: 5.7 MB of images, all stored three to six times larger than they were shown on screen. One 2.2 MB photo for a picture the size of a postcard. Half a day of work later:

Load time on mobile

14.9 s 2.7 s

Speed score

70 96

Weight of images

5.7 MB 0.4 MB

This is the kind of problem you never notice yourself. You open your own site on your own computer, over your own fast connection, with all the images already in memory, and it loads fine. Your visitor is standing outside with three bars of signal and leaves before your header appears. You only see the difference if you measure it.

What I check

No general advice about "making more content", but the technical foundation Google actually goes by, page by page, across your whole site:

Titles and descriptions

Missing, duplicate or cut off in search results. This decides whether someone clicks your line or your competitor's.

Heading structure

Whether your pages are built correctly, or Google has to guess what a page is about.

Canonicals and duplicate pages

Whether you compete with yourself because the same page exists at several addresses.

Schema.org data

The data that makes you stand out in search results with stars, prices, opening hours or questions.

Broken links

Links that go nowhere any more. Bad for visitors and a sign of neglect.

Internal links

Whether your most important pages get enough links pointing to them, or lead nowhere.

Alt texts on images

Needed for Google Images and for visitors who have your site read aloud.

Speed on a phone

Measured with Google's own PageSpeed measurement: how long until your page is really there, and what holds it back.

Sitemap, robots and https

The basics. Things go quietly wrong here more often than people think: my own .nl domain did not even work over https.

What you get

  • A report in plain language, within 48 hours: not a dashboard you have to find your way around yourself.
  • Every problem with the pages where it occurs, so it can be pointed out.
  • An order. Five things that pay off most today, and the rest below. Most reports give you eighty points and no priority; nobody does anything with that.
  • Per item: do you fix it yourself, or have it done? I will tell you honestly when it is simple enough to do yourself.
  • Half an hour on the phone to go through it, if you want.

And what it is not

It is not link building, not advertising and not a promise that you will be number one next month. Anyone who does promise that knows something Google itself does not. This is about getting the technical foundation in order, so that everything you do afterwards works too.

And after that?

You are under no obligation. The report is yours and you can get started with it yourself. If you would rather not:

Repair project — €600 to €1,200

I carry out the items from the report, measure again and show you the difference. The price depends on the size of your site; you know it beforehand, not afterwards.

Monthly check — €45 to €95 per month

Measure again every month, with the history alongside. Websites get worse on their own: a plugin changes something, someone adds a page, and half a year later you are back where you started. Cancel any month.

Frequently asked questions

Does this also work on WordPress, Shopify or a site someone else built?
Yes. The scan looks at your site the way Google sees it, so it does not matter what it was made with. I do not need any login details for the scan, only your address.

How big can my site be?
Up to about 250 pages is within the €149. I can do larger sites too; then I agree the price beforehand.

What if nothing is wrong?
Then you hear that, and you pay nothing. That rarely happens, but I do not charge for a report without findings.

In which language is the report?
Dutch. The scan itself is language-independent; only the written report is in Dutch.

Why so cheap?
Because I have automated the measuring. An agency easily charges four times as much for this scan because someone spends days on it by hand. The thinking afterwards, the order and what it means for your business, I do myself.
